Keith J. Gourgues is a licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer registered in the State of Louisiana, since 1992. He has over 27 years of various oil and gas industry experience in engineering, geology, and geophysics.  Mr. Gourgues is presently the CEO/Managing Member of Mississippi Resources, LLC.  Mississippi Resources is an independent oil and gas E&P company with assets in the state of Mississippi. Previously, Mr. Gourgues has managed the New Orleans Region office for Cimarex Energy Co.  He was responsible for managing a multi-disciplined staff of 25 employees with a $50 million to $150 million annual exploration drilling budget for Cimarex’s Offshore Gulf of Mexico, South Louisiana and Mississippi assets. He also served in other management roles leading multi-disciplined teams and driving exploration drilling activity with several other large independent oil and gas companies.  He was instrumental in budget planning, as well as risk and portfolio management for these companies.  Mr. Gourgues received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1984.

Bruce A. Smith is Director of Engineering for Mississippi Resources, LLC since its inception in 2010, has over 20 years experience in oil and gas exploration in multiple geologic basins in North America, both onshore and offshore. His experience includes extensive focus in the Mississippi Interior Salt Basin, both on piercement salt domes and interdomal features, with concentration on the Lower Cretaceous Hosston reservoir. Prior to joining Mississippi Resources, Mr. Smith was Senior Reservoir Engineer at Cimarex Energy Co. from 2002 to 2009 and served in a similar capacity at Key Production Co. from 1996 to 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Smith held the position of Production Engineer at Brock Exploration Corp. from 1988 to 1996. Mr. Smith graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1984 and earned a Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1987, also from LSU.

Melvin J. Baiamonte, Jr. is a licensed Petroleum Landman with 33 years of experience.  Mr. Baiamonte is presently Director of Land for Mississippi Resources, LLC.  Mississippi Resources is an independent oil and gas E&P company with assets in 49 operated and non-operated wells in the state of Mississippi.  Previously, Mr. Baiamonte has created and managed several land departments within various organizations.  Mr. Baiamonte has been employed by such entities as Amoco Petroleum, Crescent Drilling & Exploration, Probe Resources, Forcenergy, Forest Oil, Dominion Exploration and Development and Energy Partners.  He has been involved in most basins in the continental United States as well as offshore shelf and deepwater Gulf of Mexico.  He has managed projects in onshore and offshore Alaska and internationally.  Mr. Baiamonte received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University in 1977.

James M. Hansen (Jim) is the Director of Geology for Mississippi Resources, LLC.  He is responsible for managing all geological and geophysical research in order to develop a successful drilling program.  Mr. Hansen has over 32 years experience as a professional geologist in the oil and gas industry.  He has experience in multiple geologic basins in North America with extensive focus in the Mississippi Interior Salt Basin, including piercement salt domes, salt ridges and inter-domal features. Before coming to Mississippi Resources, Mr. Hansen was an independent geologist involved in the exploration and marketing of oil and gas properties throughout Mississippi. Prior to that, Jim worked as a senior geologist at several companies, including Cimarex Energy, Columbia Gas Development Corp., Pan Canadian Petroleum Co., and Mobil Oil Corp.  Notable to Mr. Hansen’s career are several major discoveries in Mississippi that include the Laurel Field, Chapparal Smackover oil pool, and Pine Grove Field.  Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Kent State University in 1978 and is a current member of AAPG.
